KELLY MILUKAS OF TIVERTON, RHODE ISLAND
Encaustic, Watercolor, Pastel, Mixed Media in Abstraction
Kelly Milukas is a modern, contemporary artist: multi-media, including pastels, encaustic, resin, metal,d watercolor, and fine art photography.
Her boundless energy comes across in her work. Her KEYS TO THE CURE resin sculpture are all about discoveries in regenerative medicine, another passion she holds dear. Her paintings are representational yet abstract, with energy that comes from composition, vibrant use of color, and exciting mark-making.
Her art is a way of life for Kelly, and her Bow House Studio shows her deep commitment to creating beautiful works of art that take many different forms.
"My subject matter is broad and diverse, influenced by an interest for common place motifs and symbols found in everyday life. My artwork is defined as vibrant abstracted realism. I have a deep curiosity for life, and my paintings and sculptures are visually charged interpretations of modern sciences, travels, and powerful experiences using big bold color, shape, and texture..”
Her “Keys For The Cure” have been exhibited in many venues including The Ronald Reagan International Forum, in Washington, DC, the Museum at Palm Beach Photographic Centre, FL, and the Regenerative Medicine Forum in Berkeley, CA. Her art work is in national and international museums, private and corporate collections, such as The Boston Group; Intarcia Therapeutics; and Simpson Healthcare. Kelly has served as a curator and juror and has presented talks in museums, arts and science forums, and arts organizations. She is also the founder of South Coast Artists, RI & MA. She is Past President of the Board of Managers of the Providence Art Club where she is a juried member.
Kelly Milukas’ abstract art is a must see close up and personal. Photographic reproductions just don’t capture the luscious texture, vibrancy, chroma, and presentation that experiencing them in person does. Visit the gallery!
